Hi! My name is Shawna Handke, and I'm an artist who resides in Nyack, NY. I have been creating artwork and illustrations since I was a child, but in the past few years, I began selling my work in local boutiques and online. Here you will find selected scribbles-sketches that I am currently offering for sale. These scribbles are original drawings that have been completed on recycled/found materials.
Everything I create is completed in an eco-friendly manner. The environment has been something that I have always been interested in preserving, so it's been a lifestyle that infiltrated the way I work. I use recycled paper and various reclaimed materials to create my illustrations. Though I use recycled materials, all of my artwork is preserved in an archival manner.
Recently I became a full-time mom, so the time that I have left to create can be limited. However, my artwork is something that I wish to pursue, so I work from my home studio creating those dreams in my free time. I thoroughly enjoy meeting the people in our community and have shown my work wherever I call home at the present time.
